I don't give 5 stars lightly. I'm a professor and I'm a hard grader. Alan, Michele and Ben have won my respect. I was lucky enough to meet them when my husband and I were buying our first house. All we could afford was a "fixer-upper" and the Barbics tactfully negotiated both sides of the deal so everyone was happy. We found out a couple weeks later that the entire septic system needed to be replaced (but the trucks could not reach the back yard, so two dump trucks' worth of sand were left on the driveway). Alan called to check on us. When I told him what happened, he showed up an hour later in work clothes and with a shovel. He stayed until the job was done.

If I trusted him for his mountain expertise before, I trust him and his family for the commitment he shows to his clients. We've stayed in touch over the years because the Barbics are the kind of folks that I am proud to know. I have recommended them to my friends and they have been pleased as well.

I worked primarily with Michele in looking for and ultimately buying my condo. She took the time to understand what I was looking for in a home. However, if she was not available, or if I needed something immediately, Alan or Ben stepped in. They all understood where I was in the process, so I didn't have to keep explaining myself. I took over a year to choose a place to buy. At no time was I made to feel I should make a decision. The Barbic team guided me but never pushed. I ended up buying a home I liked, with many of the features I requested and within my budget. I have no qualms about recommending this team and would use them again if necessary.

Alan, Michele and Ben complemented one another to bring us an excellent experience while buying our house in Willow Glen. The housing market heated up just as we were midway through our househunting trips --- so our expectations and requirements were quite dynamic. However, Alan and Michele were very responsive and helped us in selecting the house that we ended up buying. Alan went the extra mile in helping us negotiate a good price and then arranged for the services of a handyman to enable us to settle in comfortably in the new house. We would gladly recommend their team for your real estate needs due to their versatility and ability.
